How to Install Forge Mods
How to install Minecraft Forge:
1. Visit the Forge website, choose the Minecraft version you want, then download the installer.
2. Open the .jar file you downloaded, select
Install client, and click OK. Once done, you’ll see a success message.
3. Launch Minecraft, select the Forge profile, and click Play.
4. You should now see Minecraft Forge text in the lower-left corner and a Mods button below Multiplayer.
✅ Congratulations! You have successfully installed Minecraft Forge.
How to install mods for Minecraft Forge:
1. Make sure you’ve already installed Forge with the steps above.
2. Download a Forge-compatible mod from CurseForge or any trusted site.
3. Open Minecraft, click the Mods button, then click Open Mods Folder.
Important: Some older Forge versions don’t have the “Open Mods Folder” button. In that case, find it manually:
- Windows: Press Win + R, type
%appdata%, open the .minecraft folder → Mods. - Mac: Press Command + Shift + G, type
~/Library, open Application Support → Minecraft → Mods.
4. Place your downloaded .jar or .zip mod file into the Mods folder.
5. Relaunch Minecraft. Your installed mod should appear in the Mods list 🎮
